Apologies...and some talk

I'm back!!
I'm so sorry that I was gone for so long, but first the boundaries were set, then when that was lifted, I ...errr...forgot my password. Yes, that is me. I always forget passwords, because I always make them different, so I think I should follow mom's example and make them relatively the same.

I had a big idea of what I wanted to write, but now, I can't say that it would go well with my mood. Yes, I am one of those people that can only write when the mood suits them. And lately, I have been in a serious writing mood. My mother can tell you that every time she comes home, I'm scribbling in another notebook. So, today I have directed that 'scribbling mood' to here, so I can let you know 1) that I am alive and well, 2) that I have around five different books going on right now. A new record for me! Hehehehe....

Okay, time for updates:
We (mom and I) planted a vegetable garden, an orchard, and some grape vines. Which I' sure you've heard about from mom. But I'm going to tell you now. *grin*
The vegetable garden at first was a massive plot of weeds. But some hard work and a pitchfork took care of that. Mom decided to try a new method of planting. So instead of doing the rows, she made little rectangular raised bed's and planted on there. Around the bed's, she put straw (or hay, I can never remember which) to make a nice little path, and to keep down the weeds. So far it has worked. The lettuce and the green beans are getting picked, and before long, the zuchinni (spl?) will too. Then, the tomatoes and the onions will be picked.
I'm really enjoying being able to pick everything. It's nice knowing that the salad that I just ate, or the tomatoes in the sandwich came from our own garden, not from a place were they go crazy if one little bug is seen on a leaf of a plant.

I would like to thank JFC for giving me the final little shove in the direction of writing. He found my hiding spot in xanga. I would like to say, in my defence, that I haven't posted there in a little while either.
But now, I must leave you, for my other audience has grown impatient. Thank you to all of you for sticking around to see when I would post again, again I apologize for the delay, and I have to say that everyone here in much more patient than the people on xanga, which is a great blessing.

Welcome back, Megan!!!

And about passwords ... you can keep a list of them in an Excel (or Word) file, together with which websites or programs they apply to. Then they are always available to you.

If security is an issue, you can password-protect the Excel file, so that you only have that password that you absolutely must remember. And if you need the passwords when you are at multiple computers, you can put the file on a USB (memory type of) drive.

Wow ... it sounds like the garden is really coming along. We just got past our final frost date here in Missouri, so no one is picking green beans here, yet. (Unless they started things in a greenhouse or cold frames, or something.)

Again, welcome back!

Another way of remembering your passwords is to write them on masking tape and tape them to the computer (if, of course, you aren't worried about someone using the computer who would take your passwords).

Welcome back! :-)
